Bar Codes
It is very important to print bar codes with extreme accuracy. When designing a label, tag or packaging with a bar code, it is recommended that the bar code be as large as possible. We do not guarantee a readable scan on anything less than an 80% bar code (about 1.125" wide). Do not truncate the bar code, the bar height can be no less than 1/2". Colors are important to consider when designing. Use dark color bars with a light background for the quiet zone, preferably white. Put a space for a barcode in your designed artwork, indicate the type of code and number sequence. We will then send your proof out with a proper barcode generated in its place, the final code that we use will have the appropriate bar width reduction for our flexographic printing presses.
