Air Quality

As the Canadian wildfires continue to burn, the smoke from the fires continues to affect the air quality for people across the United States. Wisconsin is one of many states that is impacted by the smoke leading to many air quality warnings and alerts. As sustainability is not just a bolt on system at Lauterbach Group, we place an emphasis on air quality throughout our facility.

Our state-of-the-art HVAC system allows us to control airflow throughout our offices. While some inks in the printing industry can be harmful, here at Lauterbach Group we only use no VOC or Low VOC pigments and inks.

Air quality is of paramount importance within our facility, as it directly impacts the health and safety of our group members, and the overall productivity of the operation.

Poor air quality can lead to a range of health issues, including respiratory problems, allergies, and exacerbation of pre-existing conditions. Furthermore, the accumulation of harmful airborne particles and pollutants can impair workers’ cognitive function and reduce their focus and efficiency. Maintaining high air quality levels ensures a healthier and more comfortable working environment, promoting employee well-being and reducing absenteeism due to illnesses.

Apart from the health aspect, air quality plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process itself. Many manufacturing operations involve the use of various chemicals, solvents, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which can release harmful emissions. These pollutants not only pose health risks to people and our environment, but they also affect the quality of the products being manufactured. At the Lauterbach Group, we believe in limiting the use of chemicals and any VOC compounds.

Contaminated air can lead to defects, contamination, or compromised production processes, resulting in increased waste and decreased product quality.

At the Lauterbach Group, we implement effective air quality management strategies, such as proper ventilation systems and air filtration, an in-plant water reclamation plant and stringent chemical qualification process limiting the use of chemicals and VOCs which negatively affect our group members and the environment. We are also a tobacco-free property.  Supporting a safe, healthy, and secure work environment is a core foundation of operation.
